Hello Kingaroy! The crew on board a classic Datsun 280ZX say g’day as they cruise down Kingaroy Street on Wednesday afternoon

May 13, 2015

A string of street machines taking part in a 1200km Muscle Car Tour were given a police escort as they came into Kingaroy on Wednesday afternoon.

The vehicles assembled near the Kingaroy Hospital, with police cars front and rear, as they slowly cruised down Youngman, Haly and Kingaroy streets to their stopover point, the Oasis Motel.

The vehicles were taking part in the Pelican Waters Tavern Muscle Car Tour which left Kawana on May 9 to head “the long way around” to Pelican Waters … via Maryborough, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Biloela and Kingaroy.

The tour is raising money for a Sunshine Butterflies, a not-for-profit group that supports young people with disabilities.

The muscle cars will finish their trip at the Pelican Waters Tavern on the Sunshine Coast tomorrow.
