The Inter-Club Challenge attracted some new jerseys to the junior soccer fields of the South Burnett … the Chinchilla Bears played the Kingaroy Joinery Redbacks in an unscheduled Cadets game at Wondai; earlier Chinchilla drew with Barambah

Junior Football finally swung into action on Saturday after last weekend’s washout of Round 1.

Round 2 games were played at Wondai with all age groups having their first run for the season.

There was also a well-attended Subway Squirts program which is being run by all three clubs for the junior soccer players of the future (ages 3-5).

The competitive age groups, U12/13s and Cadets, hosted visits by teams from Chinchilla and Dalby as part of a series of special Inter-Club Challenge games organised this year to give older players extra games.

The Kingair Redbacks took on the Dalby Phoenix in U12/13s
