The Kingaroy Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad (SARCIS) will be holding a special rural crime prevention night at Kumbia Memorial Hall on May 18.

The night is being supported by Kumbia Rural Watch and the Kingaroy Police.

All interested residents from the district are invited to attend from 7:30pm to learn more about:

  • Rural surveillance cameras
  • “Private Property” signs
  • Shooting on private property
  • Brands
  • Reporting incidents and suspicious behaviour
  • Appropriate contact points for reporting
  • Crime trends in the rural environment

On hand to make the presentation and answer questions will be Detective Sergeant Mark Ferling, a highly experienced officer in stock and rural matters.

Brochures on rural crime prevention will also be available.

This is an opportunity to learn more about SARCIS, meet SARCIS officers and discover simple steps to protect rural properties, machinery and livestock.
