Four players from the Kingaroy Netball Club attended a Vicki Wilson netball clinic in Brisbane during the second week of the school holidays.

The clinic was held at the Metropolitan Club court.

Activities included skills, drills and games in the morning and in the afternoon the girls participated in cardio agility training.

This involved pulling a Triton ute, boxing, Zumba and Oztag to name a few activities.

Vicki Wilson was very hands-on with the girls.

The clinic formed and refined new skills, fitness and included loads of laughs.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the country girls to see how the city does it.

“I had a fabulous day,” one of the Kingaroy participants, Laura Freeman, said.

“The best part was doing the drills with Vicki.

“This is my second year so I knew it was going to be a great day as Vicki coaches the New Zealand Ferns.

“My body has been aching for the last two days as we did a many skills and drills that were new to us.

“The Kingaroy girls were nicknamed the “country pumpkins” . This didn’t worry us as Vicki, the coaches and the other girls were very friendly.”
