Planning for this year’s Bloomin’ Beautiful Blackbutt festival is starting to get serious.
Committee chairman Jeff Connor said today the festival would be held on September 12-13.
New events for 2015 include visual arts workshops, children’s performance workshops and a live broadcast by Wild Horse FM.
Jeff is inviting South Burnett residents to become involved in the Festival.
“Become a participant by putting your club, organisation or ‘not for profit’ on display,” he said.
“Have a car/bike rally that ends in Blackbutt then display your member vehicles along the Festival Trail. Display your famous collection of historical pieces or ‘collectibles’. Have a stall that tells your story, promotes your organisation.
“Book a market stall.”
Jeff said individuals could become a “Friend” of the festival for $5 or become a corporate or business sponsor
There were also competitions to enter, including photographic, sculpture and “garden in a pot”.
