A 37-year-old woman has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue after a fall from a horse on a property at Durong this afternoon.

The rider sustained suspected chest injuries after the horse reportedly reared up, threw her to the ground and trampled her.

A Critical Care Doctor and Flight Intensive Care Paramedic on-board the Sunshine Coast-based helicopter treated the woman before flying her to Nambour Hospital.

She travelled in a stable condition.
