South Burnett CTC CEO Nina Temperton

More information has become available about which employment agencies will be servicing the South Burnett from July 1.

Under the Federal Government’s new jobactive program, seven agencies have been appointed to provide services in the Wide Bay area.

Of these, four plan to have sites in the South Burnett:

  • MAX Employment – Kingaroy and Murgon
  • NEATO Employment Services Pty Ltd – Kingaroy, Murgon and Nanango
  • Sarina Russo Job Access – Kingaroy, Murgon and Cherbourg
  • Advanced Personnel Management (APM) – Kingaroy, Murgon and Nanango

Mission Providence will be the sole Work for the Dole Coordinator for the region, but at this stage it is not known where they will operate from.

The other two agencies will also provide services in the Wide Bay region but not in the South Burnett.

South Burnett CTC CEO Nina Temperton said CTC had been in contact with all the agencies and had offered assistance in recruitment in the hope that current CTC Employment staff would get the new jobs locally and/or have a chance of continued employment in the industry in other regions.

“We also hope that the continued employment of our highly trained and well-connected staff will make it easier for both jobseekers and employers to navigate the transition into the new system,” she said.

“True to our mission of caring for our communities, CTC will do everything we can to provide Job Services Australia services right up to close of business on June 30 and to then focus on filling whatever gaps remain in available assistance to jobseekers and employers in any way we can.

“We will continue with our Labour Hire and will certainly put up our hand as a not-for-profit community organisation for any Work for the Dole projects or placements we could facilitate.”

  1. I would like the contact details for the above employment offices to update my directory. Since the cessation of CTC and ESQ etc. I am unable to reach any of the new service providers by phone. I am the coordinator for the Barambah Local Justice Group in Cherbourg and would like to be able to provide information to those requiring it. Indra Matzner 0488-116-499 or (07) 4168-1190

    • Indra, we have invited the new agencies to submit their new details to our free business directory but so far we have not seen anything …maybe they are waiting for their landline phones to be connected?
