Former South Burnett Regional Council CEO Ken McLoughlin, who resigned last year, has started a new position at the Whitsunday Regional Council.
Mr McLoughlin has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and will report to the CEO.
Whitsunday Mayor Jenny Whitney said she was pleased to welcome someone with so much local government experience.
