Nanango was “alive with the sound of music” on Sunday.
Led by the Baptist Music Group, members of the Christian churches in Nanango took part in an ecumenical walk along the three kilometres from the showgrounds to the Lutheran Church to mark Palm Sunday.
Waving palm branches and singing loud “hosannas” they simulated the walk that Christ and His disciples took from Bethany to Jerusalem in the week leading up to the Crucifixion.
After completing the walk, a short service was held at the Lutheran Church.
Pastor Bill Hogan, from the Baptist Church, addressed the walkers and spoke about the significance of the day.
