Quick action by local firefighters stopped an electrical fire from causing more damage at the Country Video Library store in Fitzroy Street, Nanango, last night.
Passers-by alerted emergency services when they saw smoke and flames coming from a sign on the roof of the building.
The Nanango urban fire brigade received the call at 6:08pm and quickly had the fire under control.
The roof of the building suffered some damage.
Kingaroy and Nanango SES members were called in to place a tarpaulin over the damaged area.
