Police and emergency vehicles in Power Street this afternoon

Fire crews used high-pressure hoses to extinguish a fire at the rear of a house in Power Street, Kingaroy, this afternoon.

The blaze, which was quickly extinguished, damaged the rear wall of the building as well as clothing and other household items.

QFRS Kingaroy Station officer Bruce Groer said the cause of the fire was as yet undetermined.

The fire broke out about 12:45pm.

Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said people were in the house at the time the fire started in a patio area, but all escaped without injury.

The fire only caused a minimal amount of structural damage.

Police forensic officers attended the scene and investigations are continuing.

Yesterday morning, fire crews from Goomeri were called to a truck on fire on the Kinbombi Range.

The fire appears to have begun in the engine bay of the truck and trailer combination, and then spread to the cabin area.

Fire crews stopped it before it could damage the rest of the vehicle.

No one was injured in the blaze.
