The Kingaroy Junior Football Club – which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year – held an information day on Saturday at its clubhouse in Kingaroy to help would-be players find out more about the competition.

All registrations must be done through the MyFootballClub website so there was help available for anyone not on the internet or who wanted advice.

There was also plenty of club gear available to try on or buy and club sponsors would have been thrilled with the large display of club jerseys.

This year, the Redbacks gave away an iPad to one lucky club member who enrolled and paid online before midnight on Sunday.

The winner was Trinity Rose.

However, interested children who didn’t make the club prize draw deadline can still register and pay online at any time before the first training session on March 5.

This year’s South Burnett Junior Football competition will kick off on May 2 in Wondai.

As in past years, it will be completed in blocks: five weeks in Wondai, four weeks in Nanango and then seven weeks in Kingaroy.
