Proud parents and other relatives watched on Friday morning as the school leaders for 2015 were officially inducted at Taabinga State School.

The ceremony began with a flag-raising as the school’s recorder band played the National Anthem.

Badges, certificates and special green bucket hats (to help the leaders be easily identified on the playground) were presented to the new Sports House captains, Student Welfare leaders, Student Council chairperson and School Captains.

Student Welfare committee members and Student Council class representatives were give special certificates.

Principal Susan Beatty noted this was the first time there was no Year 7 at Taabinga – and she was enjoying all the extra room at the school!
