Kingaroy RSL opening batsman Peter Hourn on his way to 41 runs at Lyle Vidler on Saturday

Kingaroy RSL Services proved too good for Crusaders in their top-of-the-table A Grade cricket match played at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday.

Murgon batted first and were all out for 146 off 39 overs.

Jason Webber (43), Tom Patton (29) and Ashley Sippel (28) knocked out the best scores.

Best of the Kingaroy bowlers were Alex Dempster (3/15 off eight overs), Tony Dugdell (2/18 off seven) and Darren Geiger (2/25 off six).

In reply, RSL openers Peter Hourn (41) and Chris O’Rourke (18) got the Kingaroy side off to a good start.

But Brady Roberts sealed the eight-wicket victory with 77 not out.

Kingaroy RSL finished 2/148 off 38 overs.

The two wickets were taken by Ashley Sippel (1/9 off four overs) and Tom Patton (1/19 off five overs).

Wondai overcame Warriors in the second A Grade cricket game on Saturday.

In a low-scoring match, Warriors won the toss and batted first.

The Wolves put down some early catches but managed to get the Warriors all out for 90 off just 27 overs.

Wondai’s best bowlers were Chris Bodey (3/13 off four overs), Will Mewburn (2/14 off five) and Jackson Merritt (2/17 off four).

In reply, the Wolves chased down the target in 23 overs for the loss of seven wickets.

Geoff Wallis top-scored with 39 not out. Next best was Will Mewburn with 19.

Taylor Herrmann (19 runs and 3/24) and Luke Smith (16 runs and 2/11)  were best for Warriors with both the bat and ball.

Diggers took on Warriors in a B Grade game played at Murgon.

Warriors batted first and were all out for 63 after some very attacking Murgon bowling.

Steven Alexander took six wickets for just seven runs from his 7.3 overs.

Kieran Thompson took 3/18 off eight overs.

In reply, Diggers made the necessary runs in quick time with the loss of just one wicket – Corey Smith (5).

The highlight was a half-century by Chris Heness (54).

The other not out batsman was Shane Sippel (12).

A half-century by Marc Riddell helped Murgon Colts to victory over Kingaroy RSL in their B Grade game.

Colts finished with 7/145 off 37 overs.

Top scorers were Marc Riddell (54) and Marcus Riddell (25).

Best of the RSL bowlers were Nathan Fairbairn (2/2 off one over), Jacob Arden (1/9 off eight overs) and Brian Walters (2/23 off eight overs).

In reply, Kingaroy RSL were all out for 138 off 35 overs.

Jacob Arden top-scored with 42.

Best of the Colts’ bowlers were Tom Carney (4/25 off eight overs) and Andrew Roderick (2/26 off six overs).
