Trappers have been hired for an upcoming project targeting wild dogs and feral pigs in the South Burnett.

The project, involving the South Burnett Regional Council, Kingaroy Landcare, the South Burnett Grazing Network, South Burnett Pest Advisory Committee and Burnett Mary Regional Group, has been funded by the State Government.

“The availability of the funding is limited so Council is encouraging landholders who have a problem to register their interest and apply for assistance,” Natural Resources portfolio holder Cr Kathy Duff said.

To register, contact Council on (07) 4189-9122 before April 13.

The trapping program will begin on April 27.
