Fifteen bullocks died when a B-Double carrying cattle overturned on the Burnett Highway north of Goomeri at noon on Sunday.
Sergeant Warren Lohmann, from Goomeri Police, said the incident occurred about four kilometres north of Goomeri near a sharp bend on the road.
The driver suffered a laceration to his scalp and was taken to Murgon Hospital for treatment.
The double-deck B-double was carrying 66 bullocks from Springsure to the Dinmore meatworks.
Several beasts died in the crash while others had to be euthanased due to their injuries.
A number of animals also escaped the wreckage and were rounded up.
Police investigations are continuing.
