South Burnett Regional Council has announced that the Kingaroy Art Gallery will be closed next month to allow maintenance work to be done.
Artists have been asked to contact the gallery if they have artwork in storage.
“We will also be cleaning out our storage safe, so if you have any artwork that hasn’t been collected please do so before Monday, February 2,” Gallery curator Fiona Kemp said.
Wondai Art Gallery will also close soon for repairs.
From February, Wondai Gallery’s shows will move to the former Wondai Council Chambers for a few months while Council staff undertake remediation work to eliminate the termites and correct drainage problems.
