A woman suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was driving overturned on the D’Aguilar Highway south of Benarkin this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene about 2:10pm.

The woman’s vehicle was towing a loaded car-trailer when both ended up on the side of the road.

The D’Aguilar Highway was closed for about 15 minutes from 3:30pm to allow the car and trailer to be towed from the scene.

Also this afternoon, an elderly woman has been airlifted to hospital after a single vehicle crash on the Mundubbera-Durong Road.

RACQ CareFlight’s Bundaberg helicopter was sent to the scene just before 1:30pm after the car left the road and rolled near the intersection of Greentree Lane at Beeron, about 40km south of Mundubbera.

A passerby raised the alarm.

The woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, suffered cuts as well as suspected chest and spinal injuries.

She was flown to the Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

The male driver of the vehicle was taken to Mundubbera Hospital by road ambulance with minor injuries.
