Kingaroy State High School’s Year 12 formal literally stops the traffic … and Thursday night’s effort was no exception.

Police and SES made sure the large crowd which gathered in Glendon Street could watch the cavalcade of cars arrive in safety.

The vehicles ranged from a VW Kombi to a Maserati, and just about everything in between.

As each pulled up in front of the Kingaroy Town Hall, a loud cheer went up.

A gaggle of photographers greeted each student as they made their way up the  red carpet.

And unlike last night, when a sudden storm disrupted the arrivals at St Mary’s Catholic College formal, tonight the weather gods smiled on the students.

There were plenty of classic and modern Monaros and Falcons, a sprinkling of American muscle cars, a trio of VWs … and this Ford 350 stretch limousine
A crowd of proud friends and relatives packed into the Town Hall Forecourt and lined Glendon Street to get a glimpse of the students arriving for their big night
