Fire crews in Stretton Road on Monday … firefighters remained at the scene overnight

Firefighters are still at the scene of a bushfire burning at Teelah, north of Blackbutt.

At 5:30pm today, QFES advised that a number of fire crews remained on the scene of the fire in the vicinity of Stretton Drive, Scott Close and Wild Deer Drive.

There is no threat to homes and the Advice message for the fire has been cancelled.

Fire crews were called to a blaze burning in the forestry area between Wondai and Cherbourg on Monday afternoon.

National Parks and Wildlife staff have now taken over at the scene and will be monitoring it for the next few days. No property is under threat.

Just after 11:00pm on Tuesday night, urban and rural crews were called to a fire on the Nanango-Tarong Road at Tarong.

They quickly contained the fire and worked to blacken out the area and mop up embers.

Crews have visited the scene today to ensure the area remains safe.

Also on Tuesday, firefighters were called to a small grass fire on Kumbia Road about 9:00am.

Rural and urban brigades attended and extinguished the fire caused when a mulch heap combusted.
