About 20 young riders turned up on Sunday morning for the Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club’s inaugural “Come And Try Day”.

The riders, aged from 4 to 16, either brought along their own bikes, or had a go on the club’s own PW50.

Each had a go riding anti-clockwise around the club’s new track which has been built at the Kingaroy Showgrounds.

Immediately after the “Come and Try Day”, experienced junior racers Keynan Rew, from the Sunshine Coast, and Cordell Rogerson, from Kingaroy, took over the track to take turns at doing some hot laps.

The riders both gave the track a thumbs up.

Club president Simon Rogerson said it had stood up well to recent rain.

NB. All the young riders were kitted out with helmets, gloves and other safety gear
