A three-vehicle crash closed the D’Aguilar Highway near Caboolture for more than five hours this afternoon.

Initial information suggests three vehicles collided about 2km west of the Caboolture Showgrounds just after 2:00pm.

A police spokesman said the people travelling in the vehicles all sustained injuries as a result of the crash.

One was transported via helicopter to Brisbane and the others were taken to the Caboolture Hospital.

The D’Aguilar Highway was closed in both directions.

UPDATE 7:45pm – The D’Aguilar Highway is now re-opened.

UPDATE November 17: A 67-year-old Bray Park man died in the Caboolture crash. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
