Multiple fire crews are back at Ellesmere this afternoon strengthening containment lines after the Gannon Drive fire re-ignited.

This fire originally broke out near homes on Wednesday.

A QFES spokesperson said there was no threats to homes today but residents may be affected by smoke haze.

Meanwhile, firefighters are also back at the scene of a large grass fire at Boonara.

The fire, which is burning near the Burnett Highway and Booinbah Road, broke out at lunchtime on Friday but re-ignited this morning.

Firefighters are currently (1:45pm) working to contain it.

Also today, firefighters attended a grass fire at Bushnell Road, Nanango, and are monitoring yesterday’s fire site in Malar Crescent, Booie.
