A stonefruit orchard at Kumbia is being marketed alongside similar properties in South Australia and Victoria in the hope one buyer may be interested in purchasing all three.
Phil Schell, from CBRE Agribusiness, said the three properties had different owners but could appeal to the one buyer, possibly an international purchaser.
However, expressions of interest would also be taken on the individual properties.
The three properties are:
- Kingaroy Stone Fruit, at 104 Kumbia-Minmore Road, Kumbia
- Lowana Fruits in South Australia’s Riverland region (42ha of peaches and nectarines on 56ha), and
- Riverbend Orchards in Victoria (125ha of peaches and nectarines on 161ha).
Kingaroy Stone Fruit is a 294ha property comprising 35ha of various peach and nectarine varieties, 25ha of arable land that can be further developed and approximately 3ha of remnant vegetation.
It is part of the former Dascombe’s Galaxy Farming group holding, although the property has changed hands a couple of times since then.
Mr Schell said the three properties represented an outstanding opportunity to secure a foothold in Australia’s thriving stone fruit industry.
“This is a unique opportunity to acquire three premium, established and high yielding stone fruit properties in Australia’s most highly regarded horticultural regions,” Mr Schell said.
The three landholdings also have a range of improvements, including packing sheds, cool rooms, machinery sheds and residential dwellings.
