Meet the Hervey Bay rural firies who have volunteered their time this week to help keep the South Burnett safe.
The Strike Team, the second to be based in Kingaroy, consists of firefighters from Sandy Straits, River Heads, Burrum Heads, Takura and Tinana and is headed up by David Avenell.
They have been accompanied to the South Burnett by Rural Liaison Officer Kahu Helleur, from Maryborough.
The latest crews, who spent this morning getting to know the local area, have replaced Sunshine Coast units from Kureelpa, Eudlo, Doonan, Maroochy River and Valdora.
