Federal Indigenous Affairs Minister Senator Nigel Scullion and Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss dropped into Cherbourg today.

The pair chatted with staff, students and Remote Schools Student Attendance Officers at Cherbourg State School and Murgon State High School principal Greg Smith.

They also met with Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire councillors and staff, visited the newly established recycling plant, Cherbourg Joinery, the horticulture farm, The Ration Shed and Yurri Muntha Cafe.

Senator Scullion and Deputy PM Truss also visited Shaftesbury Centre’s Rodeo School at Ficks Crossing.
