The Gympie District Beef Liaison Group, in conjunction with the Mary River Catchment Co-ordinating Committee, will be holding a Grazing BMP workshop and field day at Woolooga next Tuesday.
The day will get underway at 8:30am at Woolooga Hall.
There will be information sessions on the Grazing BMP Program and self-assessment tool, Western Mary Catchment grazing land types, and drought nutrition and supplements.
After a barbecue lunch, participants will travel to Phil Stanford’s property ‘Argentum’ for a field walk.
Topics to be covered include energy efficient grazing practices, the Carbon Farming Initiative and Reef Rescue projects.
