Commemorative services will be held across the State on Friday to pay respects to fallen firefighters on National Firefighter’s Remembrance Day.

QFES Commissioner Lee Johnson said firefighters made a commitment to put their lives on the line to protect and save others, and those whose lives were lost during operations would never be forgotten.

Mr Johnson said flags at fire stations would fly at half mast on Friday and firefighters would pause for a minute’s silence at 10:00am.

For the North Coast Region, a service will be held from 10:00am at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Maryborough.
