Former Kingaroy Red Ant Chris McQueen played a vital role in last night’s 2014 NRL Grand Final.
The Origin player was picked on the bench for the South Sydney Rabbitohs but was on the field at a turning point in the match.
There was seven minutes left and Souths were in the lead 14-6, but Canterbury was well and truly still in the game.
Rabbitohs’ halfback Adam Reynolds put up a kick, McQueen rushed forward and batted it down to Greg Inglis who chipped into the Bulldogs’ in-goal for Kirisome Auva’a to score a most unlikely try and seal South Sydney’s win.
