The Wide Bay Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils (WBBROC) will be hosting a Regional Economic Development Growth Forum in Maryborough next month.

WBBROC is the peak organisation representing the six councils that make up the Wide Bay-Burnett: South Burnett, Cherbourg, North Burnett, Gympie, Fraser Coast and Bundaberg.

The forum, on October 9 at the Brolga Theatre, is being held in conjunction with Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning.

The forum aims to provide information about:

  • Economic development initiatives taking place across the region
  • Regional project and supply chain opportunities
  • How businesses can become “investment- or procurement-ready”
  • Key regional business, industry and government contacts.

The keynote speakers will include the Director-General of the Department of State Development, David Edwards, who will launch the “Perfect Place At Your Perfect Pace Attraction and Retention Strategy”.

The forum is free but bookings, before October 2, are necessary.
