Seniors Winter Competition results from Thursday, September 4:

The first game of the night was between Gunners and Bakery Boys. In a close match, Bakery Boys defeated Gunners 8-7.

The 6:45pm game between Panthers and A-Team was also a close match with Panthers scoring 6 goals to 3 goals.

The final game for the night was between D-Gen and Gunnettes. D-Gen 11 goals defeated Gunnettes 5 goals. This was an exciting game to watch with Cassie Firman for D-Gen playing excellent futsal for her team.

Barambah had the bye for the night.

Final points for the season:

1. Panthers 27 points and 114 goals
2. A-Team 23 points and 87 goals
3. Gunners 15 points and 71 goals
4. Barambah 14 points and 83 goals
5. Bakery Boys 12 points and 48 goals
6. D-Gen 6 points and 44 goals
7. Gunnettes 0 points and 20 goals

Draw for this Thursday’s knockout semi-finals:

  • 6:00pm – Bakery Boys v D-Gen
  • 6:45pm  – A-Team v Gunners
  • 7:30pm – Panthers v Barambah

Two elite coaches put junior futsal players through their paces on Saturday at a special training clinic at Kingaroy State High School.

Felipe Furtado de Barros, from Brazil, was joined by Motonori Baba, from Japan.

Felipe is an elite level Futsal coach who currently is the Head Coach for Australian Futsal Association while Baba  currently coaches Spanish 1st Division team Santiago Futsal.

The clinic was run in conjunction with the Gol Brasil Schools of Futsal and the Australian Futsal Association (AFA).
