In a replay of their Qualifying Final clash, the South Burnett Saints will come up against University Cougars in next weekend’s Grand Final of the Darling Downs 2nd Division AFL competition.
After overcoming Cougars in the third-quarter last Sunday to earn a spot in the Grand Final, the Saints had this weekend off.
Cougars had to defeat Highfields today to earn their spot in the Grand Final.
However, the fourth-placed Lions proved no hurdle.
The University side kept Highfields scoreless in the first and second terms, and only allowed in three goals and one behind for the whole game.
The final score was 12.12 (84) to 3.1 (19).
The Grand Final between the South Burnett Saints and University Cougars will be played next Sunday (September 14) at 2:30pm at Rockville Oval (Tor Street, Toowoomba).
