A minute’s silence was held at the start of this morning’s Wondai / Kingaroy rugby league match following the death overnight of a local resident in a single-vehicle crash on the Bunya Highway.
Around 9.20pm on Saturday, police were called to the intersection of the Bunya Highway and Webbs Road, between Memerambi and Wooroolin, following reports of a traffic crash.
The sole occupant of the utility, a 23-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
