An ex-possum is believed to have caused a blackout in Yarraman this afternoon which knocked Wild Horse FM off air for about 90 minutes and left about 400 local residents without power.
The blackout also triggered alarms in the Bendigo Bank branch.
Firefighters were called to the corner of the D’Aguilar Highway and Browne Street about 1:50pm to extinguish a small fire on a power pole.
Flames damaged a crossbar and the main pole.
Power was fully restored by Ergon Energy crews and repairs completed by 4:35pm.
