U12s action from last year … Wondai Wolves v Burrum Miners

July 15, 2014

The annual Mini Mod rugby league carnival will be on again this Saturday at Wondai.

The event attracts scores of junior teams from across the Wide Bay region in U7s, U8s, U10s and U12s.

Mini Mod is an introductory form of rugby league, with modified rules, which emphasises skill development and having fun.

The carnival is the brainchild of the Wondai Proston JRL and usually attracts more than 500 junior players – and their supporters – to Wondai every year.

The U7s, U8s and u10s play 15-minute games while the U12s – who compete for a trophy – play 19-minute games.

All games are played with a quick turn-around which gives spectators constant footy action across three fields.
