Wondai Regional Art Gallery will be turning the spotlight on young up-and-coming talent in the region during August with the annual South Burnett High School Art Competition.
The gallery will be filled with a variety of art from students.
There are sections for Juniors (Years 8-10), Seniors (Years 11-12), a 2D Division (all paintings), a 3D Division (sculpture, pottery and papier mache) and a Division which covers “interpretative Indigenous Inspired Art”.
Prize money for First, Second, and Third will be awarded for all sections.
Entry forms are available at local high schools or the Wondai Regional Art Gallery.
Artwork from Proston State School will be featured in Kidz Corner.
Opening night will be Friday, August 1.
The $5 entry fee includes hot and cold supper with punch.
Wine will be served by a local winery. There will be live entertainment on the night.
