A man has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after being found unconscious on a dirt track near Wondai this afternoon.

An RACQ CareFlight Rescue spokesperson said it was suspected that the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, fell from a pushbike which was found nearby.

A passer-by made the discovery earlier this afternoon on a dirt track running off Old Wondai Road.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter, from Toowoomba, flew to the Wondai School oval shortly before 2:00pm.

Its Flight Doctor and Flight Intensive Care Paramedic treated the man who was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital.
