South Burnett farmers have been invited to attend a free Soil Nutrition Forum which will be held in Kingaroy on July 16.
Topics to be covered include soil testing, nutrient removal, nitrogen from legumes, fertiliser placement, organic fertilisers and nutrient strategies.
The results of a recent trial on the Weller family property will also be discussed.
Guest speakers will be Ian Crosthwaite (BGA AgriServices), Chris Dowling (Back Paddock Company), Mike Bell (QAAFI) and Nikki Seymour (DAFF).
The forum will be held at the Kingaroy RSL Club from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
It is being organised by the GRDC Nutrition Initiative (More Profit From Crop Nutrition) and the Inland Grower Solutions project.
The forum is free but RSVPs are necessary for catering.
