Don’t worry if you see a pack of motorbikes heading down the highway at the end of next month, they’re just “Red Boot Riders” doing their bit for charity
The South Burnett’s second annual Red Boot Ride – to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House – will be held on Sunday, July 27.
Last year’s ride, organised by Murgon businessmen Mark Smith and Kingaroy businessman Rod Steele, raised almost $2500 and they’re hoping that this year’s event will be even bigger.
The ride will circumnavigate the South Burnett, stopping at Maidenwell for a break and at the Bunya Mountains for lunch.
Motorcycle riders can register outside Mark Smith’s Menswear in Lamb Street from 8:30am on the day.
Cost is $25 per bike (pillion passengers are free) and the ride is open to all makes.
The ride will get underway at 9:30am and then head to Nanango, Maidenwell, Cooyar, Maclagan, Kaimkillenbun, Bunya Mountains, Kumbia, Kingaroy and then back to Murgon.
Lunch will be had at Elz Bistro at Dandabah. Cost is $6 with $1 donated back to the fundraiser.
