A Bundaberg couple were transported to Kingaroy Hospital for treatment after a single vehicle crash on the Bunya Highway on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy police, said the incident occurred about 4:30pm between Memerambi and Wooroolin.

The driver apparently lost control of the Nissan Patrol as they were was driving towards Kingaroy.

The vehicle slid off the road as it was going around a bend, hit a culvert and rolled several times.

The vehicle ended up on its roof.

The 21-year-old female driver and her 30-year-old male passenger were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Snr Sgt Frank said the crash occurred in extremely poor visibility while the road was very wet.

Investigations are continuing.

An 87-year-old male driver has been issued with a ticket for making an unsafe turn after a crash on the Bunya Highway near the Kingaroy Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.

Snr Sgt Frank said the man was driving south in a car pulling a trailer when he decided to pull off to the side of the road.

He then did a U-turn across the highway, cutting across the path of another car heading south on the highway.

The vehicles collided but no one was injured.
