The young boy who went missing yesterday has been located safe and well in Kingaroy this morning.
South Burnett councillor Ros Heit, who was taking part in this morning’s “Ride The South Burnett” community bike ride, spotted a boy whom she thought may be Tyrone Coe, 13, walking along Harris Road about 8:15am.
She rang Triple 0 and also hailed a police car.
Police quickly located Tyrone and took him to Kingaroy Police station to contact his family.
“I saw this kid and I thought it was a bit suss,” Cr Heit told southburnett.com.au
“He was just wearing shorts. He should have been rugged up in a jumper at that time in the morning.
“Thank goodness he’s safe. That’s the main thing!”
