Woolworths announced this evening it is recalling a baby food product after a metal blade was found in one packet.
The affected product is “Baby Macro Organic Tomato Chicken with Pasta Puree” in 120g packs, with a best before date of August 7.
The company spokesman said the product was being recalled as a precaution based on an isolated incident where a single complete metal blade was been found in a pouch.
The incident is believed to have occurred in South Australia.
“As a precaution, consumers should not eat this product and should return it to their nearest Woolworths Supermarket for a full refund,” a Woolworths’ spokesman said.
The spokesman said the recall applied only to the one product as described.
“No other products are affected,” the spokesman said.
