The Summer Series of the Murgon RC club drew to a close with some close racing at Murgon last Sunday.

Organiser Rik Christiansen said 21 competitors took part.

The club, which kicked off last November, has been interspersing fun days with more serious racing Sundays where both big and little kids have been showing off their mini racing skills.

They have also been developing their track, installing ant bed jumps, lights for night racing and a driver’s stand.

The six-round series culminated in a series of final heats.

Rik said a fun day will be held in a fortnight, and then a six-round Winter Series would kick off.

Anyone interested in joining the club should contact the South Burnett PCYC on (07) 4168-1889.

  1. Was such a surprise to see our lil man as soon as I clicked on South Burnett Online :) The Murgon RC Club is such a great bunch of people, it’s so good to take the kids to a place like this and they can have the time of their lives, playing with cars & getting dirty. Great family environment & extremely well run, too.
