Dog Registration
Yarraman and Cooyar residents need to register their pet dogs by June 30
June 5, 2014

Yarraman and Cooyar pet owners have been reminded by Toowoomba Council to renew their dog registrations by June 30.

“Having animals registered is the best way to help reunite owners with lost pets,” Toowoomba Regional Council Environmental Health portfolio leader Cr Sue Englart said.

“Registration is compulsory for all dogs across Queensland, including the Toowoomba region.

“Pet owners who do not receive renewal notices in the mail in the coming week are asked to check with Council to ensure dogs are registered by June 30.”

Cr Englart said Council provided a range of reduced fees for dog owners.

Discounted registration is offered for animals that are desexed.

Council also has a half-price puppy registration offered as a once-only discount to help owners with the cost of desexing.

Dogs must be registered by three months of age.

New owners of animals older than three months have two weeks to register their pet.

Cat registrations have been discontinued.
