The South Burnett Saints AFL team knocked up a cricket score at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on Sunday when they finally had a chance to come up against an under-manned South Toowoomba side.

The two teams had been due to meet in Round 1 but the match was washed out.

On Sunday, Saints finished 30.21 (201) to the Bombers’ embarrassing 2-3 (15).

It was a reversal of form on the last time they met, in July last year, when The Bombers’ firepower at home proved too strong for the Saints, with the final score 27.11 (173) to 3.9 (27).

This time around, South Toowoomba was kept goalless in the first and last quarters, and only managed a goal apiece in the others.

This is the Saints’ second outright victory for the season and takes them into third spot on the Darling Downs Division 2 ladder.

Goals were kicked by Brad Edwards (5), Adam Bowater (5), Paul Pressnell (4), Tom Fowler (3), Ty Snow (3), Matthew Eckermann (2), Keiran Snow (2), Daniel Rogers (2), Jordan Pressnell, Darren Moseling, Scott Fitzpatrick and Adam Branch.
