The Kingaroy RSPCA shelter will be more than $2300 better off following a fundraiser organised by Nanango resident Jade Binns on Sunday.
The fundraiser was held from noon to 4:00pm in the Nanango RSL car park, a natural location as Jade works at the club.
This is the second year Jade has organised the fundraiser, and it was even larger than last year’s effort.
Singer Neil Duddy provided live music and there was also face-painting, a licensed bar, barbecue and pet-related stalls.
The RSPCA also had their own stall and brought along four cats and three dogs looking for homes.
Jade said she loves animals and just wanted to do her “little good deed” to help them.
There were plenty of thing for animal lovers to enjoy, including a petting zoo and a display by Mysty Gums alpacas.
Puss’n’Woof had hydrobaths and KDOT Kingaroy Dog Obedience And Training also put on a display.
Jade said she planned to do it all again next year “bigger and even better”.
