A group of 40 of Kingaroy’s best young futsal players have spent the Easter long weekend in Brisbane competing in the Queensland Regionals.

Coach Debbie Ovens said the players went down to Brisbane on Friday afternoon and played games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

“We had some good games, and some bad games,” she said. “But they have all had a very good time.”

Debbie said it was good experience for the players who were coming up against teams with a lot more experience.

She said some of the Brisbane teams play a lot more games which makes them very competitive.

The Kingaroy players competed in U10s, U11s, U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s and U16s.
