Cooyar and Yarraman are to get new entry signs as part of a re-branding of the Toowoomba Regional Council area.

The council has designed a new series of matching welcome signs which will be erected on the outskirts of towns throughout the region.

Council staff plan to consult with local communities so that meaningful images are displayed on each sign which reflect the image of each town, however “Cooyar wattle” has already been identified for the Cooyar sign, and a wild horse for Yarraman.

A schedule of proposed images for each town will be completed by the end of May and erection of the signs should begin in July.
