A funeral will be held on Thursday in Kingaroy for Wengenville pioneer Richard (Dick) Trousdell who died on Saturday.

Mr Trousdell was the son of Neptune Trousdell who donated the land for the Wengenville school.

He lived all his life in the Wengenville area.

He died peacefully at the age of 84.

Family and friends have been invited to attend the funeral which will be held at St Michael and All Angels’ Anglican Church from 10:30am on March 13.

Mr Trousdell will be buried in the Taabinga Lawn Cemetery.
