The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed at Cooyar today to treat a motocross rider with a serious leg injury.
The man, in his 20s, was taken from Motocross Mountain by road ambulance to a nearby oval where the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed.
The CareFlight Doctor and flight paramedic stabilised the injury before the patient was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
A CareFlight spokesman said the man was injured after performing a jump and landing awkwardly.
